Oaklane Farm was started in Salem, Oregon, in 1970.
For over 45 years we have raised, trained and shown
Registered American Shetlands, Hackneys, Pinto ponies
and now Registered Welsh Mountain ponies.
Moving to the midwest in 1977, a new farm became
Oaklane Farm and we are on the same place today.
Oaklane Farm has always been proud of the quality of its ponies, not having more than a few, but striving to have the highest quality possible.

The heritage of the Welsh Mountain Pony in the United States today
originated on the Hills of Wales.
Today, the breed carries the same look as it did 100 years ago and many of the ponies in the US are decendants or imported offspring of those animals.
The Welsh Pony and Cob Society of America celebrated 100 years in 2006.
